A professional tool in a starter-size kit
Some jobs don't need a gallon of mixed solution. A musty car, a pet crate, a bathroom that smells like a locker room no matter how much you scrub. This is the kit I point people to when they want to try chlorine dioxide without committing to the big pouch: 60 premeasured 1-gram tablets and a reusable 32oz spray bottle, everything you need to mix a professional-strength solution one bottle at a time.
What it does
Chlorine dioxide is a selective oxidizer. In plain terms, it breaks down the organic material causing the smell rather than covering it. It's bleach-free, fragrance-free, VOC-free, and leaves no residue. The tablets come individually sealed in foil, so every dose is fresh and consistent. No measuring, no guessing.
Used according to the label, EnviroTab solutions:
- Deodorize hard surfaces, equipment, vehicles, pet areas, and enclosed spaces
- Inhibit odor-causing bacteria on treated surfaces (bacteriostatic action)
- Inhibit and control mold and mildew growth on applicable surfaces (fungistatic action)
An honest note, because I'd rather tell you straight: the label claims here are bacteriostatic and fungistatic (EPA Reg. No. 99407-1), which means inhibiting and controlling growth. That's different from a sanitizer or disinfectant claim, and it's not a blanket kills-all-mold promise. If you need an EPA-registered disinfectant, that's my Briotech Sanitizer Disinfectant, not this. Different tools, different jobs.
Mixing guide
Always fill the bottle with water first, then drop the tablet in. Never pour water directly onto a tablet. Let it dissolve completely, about one to two minutes. Avoid breathing the fumes while it dissolves.
- Everyday spray and wipe: 1 tablet per 32oz bottle (about 100 ppm)
- Lighter jobs: 1 tablet per gallon of water (about 25 ppm)
Mix it fresh and use it within a few hours. Like any activated chlorine dioxide solution, it loses strength as it sits, so don't mix up more than you'll use.
Using it
- Fill the 32oz bottle with clean water.
- Add one EnviroTab 1g tablet.
- Wait one to two minutes for it to dissolve fully.
- Spray and wipe, using the contact time on the label for your application.
- Rinse or let air-dry only as the label directs.
Safety
Wear the protective gear the label calls for: gloves, eye protection, and cover your clothing. Don't breathe the fumes while the tablet dissolves. Keep tablets in their foil until use, store everything out of reach of kids, and never use it in a way the label doesn't describe. The full EPA-approved label is the authority here, not this page.
Always test in an inconspicuous spot before treating a visible area.
Who it's for
Homeowners dealing with musty cars, pet odor, mildew in the bathroom, or smoke smell in a small space. It's also the low-commitment way to try chlorine dioxide before stepping up to the 4g pouch for bigger jobs.
Why Odor Supply House carries it
Everything in this store has to earn its shelf space. I run a two-man odor removal business, and I only stock what I'd actually use on a job. This kit is how most people should meet chlorine dioxide: one tablet, one bottle, no measuring, no waste. It's simple, it's honest chemistry, and it works. That's why it's here.
Frequently asked questions
Is EnviroTab a disinfectant?
No. The label claims are bacteriostatic and fungistatic, meaning the solution inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria and controls mold and mildew on treated surfaces. Those are different from sanitizer or disinfectant claims, so don't buy it expecting that.
How is this different from the 4g pouch?
Same chemistry, different scale. The 1g kit is the starter: smaller premeasured doses for spray-bottle jobs, plus the reusable bottle. The 4g pouch is for bigger work, gallon mixing, and water tanks and lines.
How many bottles will I get from the kit?
60 tablets means 60 full-strength 32oz bottles. For most homeowners, that's a long time between reorders.
How long does the mixed solution last?
Mix it fresh and use it within a few hours. Like any activated chlorine dioxide solution, it loses strength as it sits, so don't mix up more than you'll use.
Will it bleach fabrics or leave a residue?
No. It's bleach-free, fragrance-free, VOC-free, and residue-free. That said, always test a hidden spot first and follow the label for your surface.
Can I use it in my car?
Yes, deodorizing vehicles is one of its best uses. Follow the label directions, ventilate afterward, and don't occupy the space while you're treating it.
Is it safe around kids and pets?
Keep the tablets themselves stored out of reach of children, wear the protective gear the label requires while mixing and applying, and ventilate the treated area. Once it's applied according to the label and the area is aired out, you're good.
